Nekrotiserande fascit
En fulminant grupp A-streptokockinfektion som börjar med svårartad cellulit och sprider sig till såväl de yttre som inre bindvävshinnorna, med proppbildning i underhudskärlen och gangrän i de underliggande vävnaderna. Oftast utgör ett hudsår ingångsplatsen för infektionen, men ibland kan inget sådant sår påvisas.

A fulminating bacterial infection of the deep layers of the skin and FASCIA. It can be caused by many different organisms, with STREPTOCOCCUS PYOGENES being the most common.
